Below you will find a selection of games and things to do developed by Child Development Expert Godfrey Hall. The games you play with your child will not only be fun but also meaningful and essential for their early development. Here are some basic hints about play with your child:

  • Give your baby praise when ever you can as this will boost their self esteem and confidence.
  • Play with your child as this will help with creative development, social interaction, language and motor skills.
  • Read to your child and give them the experience of the written word and pictures. Talk about the stories and pictures. If you don’t speak or read to your child this can cause problems later on.
  • If you play with your child or read to them make sure that this is in a secure and comfortable environment.
  • Remember your child needs to be held and cuddled.
  • Sing and laugh with your child. This stimulates them and makes them more pro-active. Have fun with them.

Below are some simple games and activities that you can try out with your baby. Remember that your child is an individual so some things may work better than others.
