Nine months plus - Discovery

At this age baby clearly distinguishes strangers from familiar faces and clings to parents. Enjoys playing peek-a-boo and imitates hand clapping. Baby can sit on floor and manipulate toys, starts to attempt to crawl and pulls to standing.

To practice object permanence, put baby's favourite rattle into the internal pocket of the Miracle Scarf™ and let baby find it - what's hidden isn't necessarily gone.

At play:

  • Baby plays in new ways now that baby can sit alone
  • Baby is very attentive to voice of familiar person
  • Starts to vocalize as means of inter-personal communication
  • Baby observes when toy is partly hidden and can find it

Yes! SuperBaby® Miracle Scarves™ and Bands™ encourage eye contact between parent and baby. Eye contact is a main source of information about other people's feelings and intentions. We all know that feelings can be seen on the face. By toddlerhood, your child has started to use your face as his immediate guide to behaviour in her environment (social referencing). Looking at faces is very important in infancy - these looks and smiles actually help the brain to grow.
