Outdoor Activities in Spring (by Godfrey Hall)

Superbaby Shirt

  • When the weather gets better talk your baby on a visit to the park. Talk to them about the flowers, trees and birds.
  • Find some spring type music that is bouncy and light. Dance with your child to the music. Pretend to be a baby creature. (Music helps stimulates child’s brain patterns and develops the areas that deal with complex reasoning)
  • Find a story about a rabbit if possible the Easter Bunny. Look at the pictures and talk about what you can see. Ask your child what they can see. Remember the earlier you start reading to your child the better it is for them.
  • Cut out some pictures of baby and adult animals e.g. hen, chick, ewe/lamb, mare/foal. Stick them on some card. Turn them over, point to the pictures say the names of the creatures and then match them up.
